Woo services fails after updates – AGAIN. No labels, broken status

I oroginally posted about this issue here: but could not take the site offline to disable all the plugins. Disabling all the plugins rarely seems to fix any issues and seems like a stalling tactic, which seems to be the case here, as doing so did not make any difference in the woo services working correctly.
I finally had time to shut the site down, and deactivate all the plugins except ones crucial to testing this issue…

right now, the top row of my woocommerce dashboard will not load. it shows greyed out boxes where the first row of small boxes should be.
On order pages, again, the shipping label functionality will not load, and gives me the same error
” Section failed to load, check the status page for troubleshooting “It does not show if an order has already purchased a shipping label and shows the same error.
The woo services status page is empty, and displays the same error

I updated to the most recent version of PHP. no difference.
I’ve tried disabling all the plugins (except those listed above which are required to keep the site connected to jetpack, and to woo services.) one by one, and as a group. no difference.
There is clearly an issue with the wooservices plugin and the new versions of woo and wp.
This is incredibly frustrating. I had hoped that a month after originally complaining, this would be working by now.

I really need to get these updates to take hold. I can not make any changes to the site in the current state. I need to add a new plugin but can not until this is fixed. I can not print shipping labels without reverting to my backup, making my site unusable.

I have just heard back from the host, they are claiming that the issue is coming from this security rule placed in .htaccess, most likely by wordfence.
#RedirectMatch 403 (?i)(~|`|<|>|:|;|,|%|\\|\s|\{|\}|\[|\]|\|)
the line was commented out, and now using a ~ in a url results in the wordpress 404 page, instead of the 403 error. this is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, now i need to figure out if this affects wordfence security, how to keep it from happening again etc. AND still need to see if the plugins can be updated without failure.
@mellowvision the team will be working on it and testing a change within the next few days.
You can expect a release within the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, removing the extraneous htaccess rules should work as a temporary workaround.Thanks again for your patience!
