    Hi,

Just wanting to check if your plugin works on the cart page? I am looking for something that can auto fill the postcode from the suburb or vise versa.

    Thank you.

    Hello @kds26,

Yes, the AddressFinder plugin works on the cart page. Your customer will start typing in their address, and our service will display matching addresses as they type.

When they select the correct address, the plugin with populate the various form fields (including postcode and suburb) with the address elements.

You can see a working example of this behaviour here:
    https://addressfinder.com.au/features/address-autocomplete-field/

    Does this answer your question?

    Kind Regards,

    Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

Thank you for your reply. On the cart page though it is only the country, state, suburb and postcode. Not the actual address itself.

The country Australia is the only option. The state is a drop down box. The suburb is the first text field and the postcode is under that as a text field.

On the examples of your plugin if I skip the actual address field and start typing in the suburb it doesn’t auto fill any information.

I hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help, I am very interested in your plugin but just want to make sure it has the features I need.

    Hi @kds26

My apologies – I am sorry to say that the AddressFinder plugin is only activated on the checkout page, not the cart page as I had suggested.

We may not be able to help you out sorry.

    Kind Regards

    Nigel

    Hi @abletech

Thanks for the reply. Do you think this might be a feature you would consider adding in the future?

    Hi @kds26

This is not a feature we have considered, but we are interested to know more about it. Are you able to share a URL to your store, so we can investigate how you have the cart configured please?

    Kind Regards

    Hi @abletech

    Our website is https://solarcampingaustralia.com.au/

We use the cart page so customers can calculate freight quickly before having to enter all their details in the checkout. We use Australia Post and Fastway plugins to calculate freight. Particularly the Fastway (aka Aramex) one it is vital that the correct suburb spelling is used and it corresponds with the correct postcode, otherwise it will not calculate freight with this plugin.

I hope that all makes sense. If you need any further explanation let me know.

I appreciate your time. Thank you.

    Hi @kds26

    Cool website by the way!

We have had a few customers who have enquired about using our plugin on the cart page. At this stage, we have been suggesting to our customers that they use our AddressFinder widget code (different from the WooCommerce plugin) and configure their cart page to include this.

We have some sample code that has been used by other customers to get this going. If you’d like us to share that with you – please send us an email at:

    Kind Regards,

    Nigel
