• Hello there. This is my site – https://otaku.bg/otakubg/

I’m trying to use this widget to search only post type. I don’t want it to mix with my default theme search. I’ve put all clicks on post, but it still does not search any posts, only my pages.

You can check the plugin on the site, right-bottom. For example if you write Ahiru no Sora it will show my posts, without pictures, but when you click search, it will show on results only my Page for Ahiru no sora?

Can you help me, if it could work the way i need it?

    Hi,

You can try enabling this option – the plugin will try to replace the default search form. Some themes have integrated search bars, which cannot be replaced easily, only by editing the corresponding theme file.
If the automatic replacement does not work, you can still use the plugin as a widget, or use the plugin shortcode in page or other post type contents.

I also tried the search on the bottom, I am seeing the pictures, and getting redirected to the result pages, it seems all right to me: https://i.imgur.com/yWmE6zz.png

The problem is when you click Search, the results are from my default’s search, not posts from your plugin. Basically you can see the posts once you write title, but once you click search, ur getting my theme’ search results, which are pages. So i’ve wanted to seperate the both search. My default theme search to show results of pages, and your plugin to show results of posts. In ivory search plugin there is option to add New Form for the plugin and it’s working good, but i wanted to try your plugin too, cuz it looks cool, but cannot make it search how it should.

Hi, it’s working right now, but results have Blank gray image? Is it possible to custom upload image for results? Update on that?

The results page layout (images, titles etc..) is not affected by the plugin, that needs to be resolved via the theme unfortunately.

So this needs to be changed from my theme files, cannot be done from the plugin? Ok.

Need to ask you something else. I’m using the plugin Photo Album Plus. When i search something in ur plugin, this search is saved in the search bar of Photo Album and everytime it’s searched. Cannot search for anything else.

    Example – https://prnt.sc/ul6wxu

“Just a test” is what i’ve wrote in your search bar. Anyway of fixing this conflict?

I’m afraid that has to be resolved within the other plugin – it probably takes the search query and prints it as it is.

My posts have tags, but i cannot search with them? Only the title?

Make sure to enable the search in the taxonomy terms (including tags) under the General Options -> Sources panel: https://i.imgur.com/WwcgAyN.png
