    Hi there,

After a few months of using this plugin suddenly the photos stopped fading on the background header. No new plugins were installed since using Metaslider. Errors as follow:
[31-Aug-2020 23:22:17 UTC] PHP Warning: require_once(/home3/nicopede/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/admin/lib/helpers.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/nicopede/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/ml-slider.php on line 89 [31-Aug-2020 23:22:17 UTC] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home3/nicopede/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/admin/lib/helpers.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php72/root/usr/share/pear’) in /home3/nicopede/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/ml-slider.php on line 89

  • Hi,

Is the file PHP is looking for there? If not then you will have to reinstall the plugin. if it is there, then you will have to check the file permissions or contact your hosting provider (or try to delete/reinstall anyway and WP usually handles it automatically).

    Failed opening required ‘/home3/nicopede/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/admin/lib/helpers.php’

Note, deleting the plugin wont cause you to lose slides or settings.

    Hi kbatdorf (@kbat82),

And thank you for your swift reply. I have now re-installed the plugin after downloading it from WP. Nonetheless, the problem was not fixed. Could you please advise with further help?

    Kindest regards.

    Hi,

Do you get the same error? Is the file there?

you will have to check the file permissions or contact your hosting provider

If the file is there and can’t be read, it’s very likely a permissions issue which your hosting company can help with.

If you have new errors let me know and I can update the advice.

    Hi @nicoleta7a

I’ll mark this as resolved as we didn’t hear back, but feel free to reply if needed or have any more questions.
