After updating the foogallery plugin no longer shows up on the dashboard in the admin area. Also the galleries are no longer visible on the front end. When I check the files, the foogallery folder is still there.
I did get an error message that there was a problem with the jetpack plugin, which I updated at the same moment. So I deleted the jetpack folder. But still foogallery can’t be used from the admin area.
How do I get the plugin back to work?

    Details about the error:

“Een fout van het type E_COMPILE_ERROR werd veroorzaakt op regelnummer 168 van het bestand /customers/2/c/f/ellavandenbussche.be/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/autoload_packages.php. Foutmelding: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/customers/2/c/f/ellavandenbussche.be/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/automattic/jetpack-roles/src/class-roles.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php’)”

    hi @datapanik

If you no longer see the FooGallery menu or any galleries on the frontend, then it seems like the FooGallery plugin is not activated. Please ensure it is activated from the plugins listing. If you cannot activate it due to an error, then it might have become corrupt from the update, and I would suggest you delete the plugin and install the latest version fresh.

The error you provided is originating from the Jetpack plugin, so it looks like your site is still trying to load that plugin somehow.

Well, it’s not possible to activate the plugin since it’s no longer visible in the list of plugins on the admin bar (while the folder still exists – which to me is a mystery how this is possible).
I suppose when I delete and reinstall the plugin, all galleries I created will be lost? That would be a pity for all the work I have put into it.
Isn’t there a way to recover those galleries before deleting the plugin?

    Hi @datapanik

Your galleries and settings will not be deleted when you delete the plugin.

If needed, login to your web server hosting and delete the folder to make sure.

Then install it again, activate it, and your galleries will show up again
