Is there any way to get Rank Math to recognise fields in custom posts? I’m not using ACF – these are custom posts / fields created by my theme.

I can identify the field names – is there any kind of filter that can be added to functions.php?

    Thanks

    Thank you for your message.

Definitely. Please follow this video screencast to know how to add the custom fields to the content analysis part:

    Hi

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.
I followed your instructions but the fields are still not recognised by Rank Math.

The fields are not in ‘posts’ but in a custom content type called ‘courses’ created by my theme.

I am afraid it is not resolved.

    Hello @plan9

Thank you for sharing more details.

The custom field content analysis does not affect your SEO or rankings. It is only used as an internal metric to give you a to-do list of things you can do to optimize your website.

We have added API access to the content analysis in the Rank Math plugin to make content from page builder plugins & custom themes readable by Rank Math.

You would need to contact the developer of the theme you mentioned by showing the following link:

Many known companies have already added the compatibility, as it takes a few hours:

I hope that helps. Please let us know if there’s anything else you need our assistance with. More than happy to help.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the update. It’s disappointing that Rank Math doesn’t deliver what it promises. This is obviously not resolved for me – but I will leave it ‘resolved’ as you have chosen and seek other options.

    Hello @plan9

Sorry to disappoint but even if we wish, we can not possibly know how other coders code their products. The best we can do is support default WordPress ways by following their codebook and also provide an option for developers to tap into our plugin.

If you will share the article we linked above, we are sure the theme developer can make good use of it and make their theme compatible with the Rank Math plugin.

Hope you understand. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We are here to assist.

    Thank you.
