Unable to add Events

    We are looking for a new events plugin as our current plugin was developed by someone no longer with the agency and is not modifiable.
    I am really interested in this plugin, but after installing the plugin, it does not give the option to add events. After a week of frustration and no help from the Events Calendar Support team, I’m reaching out here. This plugin does everything we need it to do when it functions. I’ve created a staging site as suggested by the Events Calendar support team with no luck. I decided to download a different events calendar plugin and was still unable to add events in that plugin so now I’m convinced that it must be something with our site, but I’m not sure what it could be.
    Any help is appreciated

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues you are having.

    In the mean time if you add the following to your theme’s functions.php and then deactivate and activate The Events Calendar it should fix the issue:

    add_filter( ‘tribe_events_integrations_should_load_freemius’, ‘__return_false’ );

    @chikaibeneme That didn’t work ??
    When i added that, it actually made the whole site wonky looking. I’m not sure how to describe it. Is it supposed to go somewhere specific within the php file. I’ve done very little coding, but know that things are usually nested within certain attribtes.

    If you are seeing the same issue with other plugins, it sounds like a problem with your WordPress install, your hosting, or with your theme or other plugins.

    To determine if the problem is a theme or plugin conflict, try temporarily switching to the Twenty Twenty theme and disabling all other plugins besides the Events Calendar. If you don’t see the issue in this configuration, re-enable everything one at a time until the issue returns to find the source of the conflict.

    If you do still see the problem while in the troubleshooting configuration, I would reach out to your host to see if they can help figure out what the problem is.
