• I am setting up a simple press forum for my blog. I’d like the theme to be different for the forum. Is this possible without creating a subdomain or subdirectory and new install of wordpress?

I’d like the users who sign up for the forum to be signed in for the comment section of my blog too, for community building’s sake.

  • Let me ask you this: why would you want to? The forum is an extension of your blog and therefore should have a similar look and feel.

You’ll be breaking up your brand identity, which is pretty important when it comes to sticking out from the crowd.

What forum software is your forum running? if its wordpress’ forum script, you would have to hire someone to create a new template. WordPress’ forum takes the design styles and template of your theme.

    It’s simple press.

I need to change the template, because there is just not enough room for the forum to breathe as is. And I am in love with the template for the main blog…
