How To Disable Delete Permanently

Hi,

Like this topic 11 months ago, i’m looking for a user role/function/snippet to block some roles to permanently delete posts …

This is vital, for a multi-author blog, to avoid an angry (or a very goofy) user to delete important posts.

I want only editors and administrators to be able to see and delete trashed posts, others must not be allowed to do so !

Do you think it would be conceivable to add a role like “trash_posts” to let users trash posts and keep “delete_posts” to let users trash & permanently delete posts ?
