Dropdown search

  • Hi

    On the above page I have listed the pages of the Bible. When you click on a link you are taken to a list of chapters and then when you click on a chapter you are taken to the relevant post.

    Is there a way of creating a drop down menu of certain categories to do the above please?

    You can add a call to wp_dropdown_categories() on the template for the page somewhere. You can supply arguments to the function to cause it to include or exclude certain categories. This is just a form field on its own. To cause something to happen, more is required. The last user note at the bottom (user “nsei”) has example code that does something with the selection. I’d link to it, except deep links don’t work on that page because of how source code is hidden.
