• Hi all,

I published my first independently hosted WordPress site and I cannot figure out how to change something. When I type in my domain “growhotpeppers.com” or “https://www.growhotpeppers.com” in Google’s search field, the search results display my website as the top hit; however, part of the title and the blurb underneath display my host provider’s content instead of my own.

How can I change this? My site was published on 12/15/09 so I don’t know if this is happening because my site is still new, or if I missed a setting somewhere in the WordPress dashboard.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

  • Looks ok to me. Would say patience is the key, especially if it is a new site. Might be worth signing up for a Google Webmaster Tools account if you’ve not already done so to see if they’re reporting any problems crawling your site.

Thanks for your quick response. I was wondering if it was just a matter of waiting or not.

    I really appreciate your help!
