    Hello,

I emailed the support email five days ago and have not received a response as of yet.

We first encountered issues on our website on August 7th as an error popped up there was an issue with connecting. Eventually it reconnected, but then our website began to have issues and it would take an incredibly long time to load.

Since there was that issue earlier on, I decided to deactivate Jetpack temporarily, and the website began to work again. I then left it for a few hours and reactivated Jetpack and the website seemed to be working fine.

I also believe the Jetpack plugin was updated to the current version. However, on August 12th to the 14th, I noted various issues with our website, so I deactivated Jetpack on August 14th in hopes this would stop any issues happening.

After Jetpack was reactivated, it will no longer connect and gives the following error: The Jetpack server encountered the following client error: Verification secrets not found.

I sent a follow up email on August 16th after spending several hours rectifying various additional issues (e.g. our posts would no longer post at their scheduled times all of a sudden).

We have also tried rolling back to the previous version of Jetpack in case it wasn’t compatible, but this did not fix anything either.

If someone could please get back to me on this, that’d be great.

    Hi there,

A newer version of Jetpack is available (8.8.2). Please update to this version and see if the slowdown issue goes away.

I also recommend disabling all your plugins except for Jetpack and then enabling them one by one to see if there’s a plugin that’s conflicting with Jetpack.

    Hello,

The issue we are encountering is not a slowdown issue, it is the following error that has been occurring since August 14th:

The Jetpack server encountered the following client error: Verification secrets not found

    All plugins have been disabled.

Jetpack has been removed and reinstalled.

We have tried a previous version of Jetpack to see if it was a compatibility issue.

We have tried the latest version 8.8.2.

But we still get the same error over and over when we try to ‘SET UP’ our Jetpack again.

We have gone to https://tools.jetpack.com/debug and get the following:
Could not validate security token. We were unable to validate a security token for Jetpack communication. Please try disconnecting Jetpack from your WordPress.com account, and connecting it again.

Please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it should work properly after a reinstall.

    Hi James,

Unfortunately we have tried deleting Jetpack twice now (as per those instructions in the link you sent, as well as clearing our cache etc) and the error still continues to happen.

I have just tried a third time and we still encounter the same error.

It changes to https://www.thenerddaily.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack#/setup when we click set up, we see the text ‘Activate essential WordPress security and performance tools by setting up Jetpack’ with the loading button, and then it ensd with the error: ‘The Jetpack server encountered the following client error: Verification secrets not found’

Are you running any security plugins (like iThemes Security or Wordfence) or server-side security (like mod_security or a firewall)?

If so, would you please try connecting with those switched off?

    Hi James,

We don’t have any security plugins.

We have also previously disabled ALL plugins in to fix the other issues that occurred (posts no longer posting at their scheduled times) and when these were disabled, we tried to get Jetpack to work.

We spoke with our hosting service three times over the weekend in relation to our issues and they cleared everything on their end, which is why we are now contacting Jetpack.

    Hi James,

I had a ticket open from last Friday, but I received a response yesterday and they said they were closing it as I am not on premium and to visit the forums.

I am happy to upgrade so I can get this fixed, however, I can’t do this as the Jetpack plugin won’t work.

    Hello,

I still haven’t received any email from anyone. It has now been 10 days of Jetpack not working and I am finding we are increasingly getting more spam.

As I said, I am happy to upgrade our plan in order to get the support that we need.

    Hello,

As I said four days ago, I am happy to upgrade to premium, but I cannot do this as every time I try, it just takes me to the install plugin page and since the plugin is inaccessible/doesn’t work, I can’t upgrade.

Is there an alternative method to upgrading so I can get the support I need? It’s coming up on almost two weeks since the plugin stopped working and I contacted Jetpack.

    Hello,

I received an email response on August 26th, but this was a week later from my previous reply and I am getting quite concerned.

I urgently need to have this resolved as our load time has become significantly affected since Jetpack has been done for two weeks now.

I’ve said several times here and on the email correspondence that I would like to upgrade permanently in order to get the premium support, but I cannot do this as the plugin does not work AT ALL!

How was this resolved? We have the same issue.

Yeah, this is all sounding really familiar. I just want to get my website working again!
