Shortlink no longer appearing on Facebook Posts

  • For several years we have used %SURL% in the post format to have a shortlink to the post appear on Facebook posts.

    Although the image has the embedded shortlink, the shortlink itself is no longer visible on the posts.

    Please help.

    It looks like Facebook is no longer accepting shortened links. We will check if something can be done about that.

    I checked whether normal links would work using %SURL% in the post format. This does not work either.

    So it seems that links are not appearing in Facebook posts at all now.

    How can this issue be fixed?

    I’ve the same problem… Working since 2 years without problem but now, sharing to FB only shows text… :S

    Shortlinks %SURL% for Facebook Groups, Pages and Profile are now working perfectly.
