5.5 Problems – Remote Loading of Image Fail

    Update 5.5 seems to have removed the ability to read images on a WP post from a remote script.

    Up until this update I could put 20 pictures on a page, the external script (in this case TGPX) would read them and recognize them. After the update no pictures are detected on the WP posts – anyone know what might cause this problem?

    I tried installing the “jQuery Migrate Helper” but it didnt help, also tried figuring out if I could turn off the new lazy loading to test that but couldnt find a way to do it.

    Any help appreciated

  • 5.5 adds lazy load features. If your script does not support lazy load then yes, it will not load the images that the script is supposed to be loading.

    I’d suggest rolling back to 5.4.2 and then copying the site to a development environment and doing some testing with your script.
