    Hi,
I am making a woocommerce site and we have several different levels of Category.

We have Primary Category(8 in total) then Medium(11 in total) then Subject(16 in total) then Style(17 in total)

So now if we set it up using category and subcategory there will be so many categories to manage.

So is there any other way to organize this properly?

Is it possible to make this using Custom taxonomy? and If we use custom taxonomy Can we
still keep the folder like URL structure for each term like this

    example.com/Primary/Medium/Subject/Style/

    Hi there,

Just to clarify: Product Categories are already a custom taxonomy related to the product custom post type ??

As for structuring it in a different way, there’s currently no alternatives available as the taxonomy structure is determined by WordPress itself rather than WooCommerce.

In terms of your shop, have you considered using tags and/or attributes to help with the structure? More information at https://woocommerce.com/posts/store-taxonomy-ux/

Yes I am already using attributes for some of the terms

Like colors and Size and Orientation

But I also have Medium, Subject, style Other than Primary category. ( Its a shop for Art sellers)

So where should I put Medium, Subject, style?

    This is what confusing me.

Hi @tatai1985. How do you want medium, subject, style to be used? Are they subcategories, or could you use tags, for example?

HI @tatai1985. We haven’t heard from you in a while so I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you still need help with this issue or have any other questions about the WooCommerce plugin, please start a new thread.
