  • Hi @rkovachev,

Thanks for reaching out about Facebook for WooCommerce! I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue. We have been receiving similar reports from other users after updating to version 2.0. The team over at Facebook is looking into this on their end, and our team is working closely with theirs to get a resolution out for this as quickly as possible. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience that this is causing!

In the meantime, you can downgrade to the previous version to get back up and running. To use the older version, please deactivate and delete the plugin, then upload and activate this version:

    https://cloud.skyver.ge/yAuboD79

Because you are reverting back to the old version you will have to set up the plugin and re-connect to Facebook, so please head to WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > Facebook for WooCommerce to set up the plugin.

Please keep an eye on the following announcement for more information on this issue and to keep updated on any new developments:

Can I help with anything else in the meantime?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hey @rkovachev,

We were able to get this issue resolved in our last release (version 2.0.1), so I’m going to go ahead and mark this topic as resolved. If you run into any further issues, please do create a new thread. We’ll be happy to help you out from there!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi,

    Same still after the update:

This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.

    Hey @rkovachev,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still running into issues in the current version.

In this case, could you please try try resetting the plugin back to a fresh install? You can do this by installing this small plugin we’ve created. This will add a new tool available at WooCommerce > Status > Tools called “Reset Facebook for WooCommerce settings”. Please click the Reset Settings button there, and then navigate back to the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin settings screen to connecting again.

Could you please let me know if you are able to reconnect after running through those steps?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Still the same problem…

    Hi @rkovachev,

I’m sorry that this didn’t help! Some of our other users have also reported that they are still running into this error, and we have a code snippet that may help. Could you please try adding this snippet:

    add_filter( 'wc_facebook_connection_proxy_url', function() { return '<a href="https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/">https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/</a>';} );

You can do this with the free Code Snippets plugin, if you’re not sure how to add a code snippet.

Could you please let me know if this helps?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

I changed the shop currency to EUR in woo settings and it was able to reconnect. Then I returned my local currency and resynced the products.
