Saving a shortcode takes too long

    Hi,

    Creating a new shortcode or updating an existing one takes 114 seconds to complete.
    This happens on more than one website on different hosting companies/packages.

    Any idea what that could be? I also have taken measures to increase speed of websites and maybe that gives a conflict? Ex: caching, SSL redirect, Speed Booster plugin.

    The server is temporarily busy, try again later!

    Shortcoder is currently putting pressure on the database, so it seems.
    Would be great if you could tackle that problem, Aakash.

    Hi @jan80,

    Sorry for the later reply.
    I saw your post, but missed to reply.

    Shortcoder uses the the same architecture as how “posts” are edited/saved.

    Can you please see if the same happens when you create/edit a post/page ?

    I’m very sure that the same would happen when you edit posts/pages.

    This is usually when the server is unable to handle the WordPress load and not specific to shortcoder.

    Please let me know further on this.
