The emails sent from Ultimate Member won’t work. When received gmail can’t read the HTML content. Instead the email is empty, except for a .txt file containing the HTML.
I’m using WP Mail SMTP for mailing, and the test email from there is sent and readable. The main difference I can see in the headers is that the working mail from WP Mail SMTP has Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 while the not working mail from UM only has Content-Type: ; charset=UTF-8, but also Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

What can I do about this?

    Hi @punchlinern

Did you turn on the Email HTML option in the WP Admin > Ultimate Member > General > Emails?

Hello @champsupertramp, thanks for your quick reply!

Yeah, I’ve tried with it both on and off. No difference.

    Hi @punchlinern

Could you please tell me what UM Email templates are having this issue? Could you please paste the Raw email template here so we can investigate?

    Hi @champsupertramp, thanks again!

It seams to be all templates, but here is the activation mail for instance:

    Hi @punchlinern

Have you tried deactivating other plugins and leaving UM and WP Mail SMTP activated?

Let’s see if this is a plugin conflict issue.

    Hey @champsupertramp

I’ve narrowed it down to a custom plugin we’ve built. I should have guessed. Do you have any idea what could cause this specific issue? What I should be looking for?

    (@punchlinern)

I found it. It was a filter on wp_mail_content_type with a function that had been removed, so content type wasn’t returned.

Thank you @champsupertramp for your assistance!
