Hello!
I guess you enabled ajax results; in that way, YASR get results from an rest response (you can test it with https://YOURSITE.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/POSTID?_fields=yasr_visitor_votes ;
That timing is normal for a rest request, and it is asynchronous so it will no slow down your page.
If you wish, you can disable the ajax results, and yasr will insert rating directly in the html.
