    Hello,

I created 3 same popups using the “Contact Form 7” shortcode. I choose a post category to target them. Two of them work well. I had the issue with only one.

When I reload the website the popup shows up on the “home page” in spite of I didn’t select it on the target settings!!

I returned to settings and selected a “home page” as a target, but as the opposite of the chosen condition. The active button turned red.

I redid the test, but the Popup continues to show up on the “home page”!! Sometimes, it seems the targeting conditions are not strictly respected.

I removed the popup and redid it. Unfortunately, the issue still the same.

How to fix this in order not to have the popup on the “home page”, because already I didn’t select it?

    ==

Also, I did some test submission forms, but the “Subscribers” tab on the dashboard doesn’t record those subscriptions!!

    Thank You.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out!

May we know if you have used the ‘OR’ condition and negative (Opposite) Condition not to display the popup on your home page? If not, kindly use the Or condition and select the negative condition (!). The negative condition should turn red to enable the condition not to display the popup on your home page.

Please see this sample screenshot setting on where the popup only displays on a certain page and doesn’t display on the home page – https://share.getcloudapp.com/Blu5BoZG

On the other hand, since you have used Contact Form 7 shortcode, subscribers will not be listed on the subscriber’s tab. It will only be listed if you use the shortcode subscription form that came from Popup Maker. For more insights, kindly refer to this link https://docs.wppopupmaker.com/article/361-shortcode-subscription-form

    I hope that helps.

    Hello @belimperial,

Yes, I used the ‘OR’ condition and negative (Opposite) Condition not to display the popup on the home page. In spite of doing so, It shows it on the homepage.

This behavior occurs using both the third-party form shortcode and the native form shortcode method.

Probably, I presume to have a problem with my homepage. It’s just an eventuality.

The reason I’m saying this: I set up a Login/Logout link on my Menu. When the user is logged in the link on the Menu must show “logout”. Indeed it shows “Logout”, but when I browse pages and click on the “homepage” the menu link turns to “Login”, despite the user already logged in!

My site is under construction and I’ll publish it temporarily. Can you, please, take a look at it?

Concerning the “subscribers” tab, I did some tests on the Popup Maker’s subscription form, but unfortunately, I have any records on that tab!!

    Thank You very much.

@davidovic123 – Sorry for the delay. When using the (!) negative operand with other conditions, you will nearly always want to use AND, not OR.

If you use OR and the other condition is true, then it doesn’t matter if they are on the home page or not. AND requires both conditions to be true.

As for issues with the login/logout link those are related to your caching setup. Basically your site is telling the browser to cache the page long term, but not ignoring that wp_logged_in_* cookie.

This is actually very common, but you’d need to consult with your caching provider to see how to get around it. We use CloudFlare and end up paying for their Business class to bypass based on cookies (both login and ecommerce). Otherwise they can usually go to checkout fine, but things like cart icons in the menu when they have items in cart don’t generally work properly.

Your only other option besides tweaking cache would be to not set your site to tell the browser to cache it long term.

To be clear we are talking about Browser HTML caching, not Server Side Page Caching.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.
