    We changed the plugin’s built-in flags to custom flags by changing the URL noted in the “Widget code (for advanced users)” section of the Settings page.

    The change worked at first. Unfortunately, when we switched back and forth from “Flags with language name” to “Language names”, the plugin’s built-in flags were restored. The custom flags are not being saved.

    Please advise how can we prevent this from happening?

    Better yet, please update your plugin to provide two (2) more sets of flags (flag styles): Flat Pattern Flags (Color) and Flat-Pattern Flags (Dark Gray and White).

    I believe this last request was submitted to the plugin developer over 2 years ago but nothing has happened. It’s time to invigorate the plugin and provide options that match better current website designs.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately when you customize the Widget Code and after that change the settings again, it will revert to the default code. Unfortunately there is no general solution to keep your changes in the code, so the only way is to redo your changes.

    Providing more flag options is in our todo list, I cannot provide an estimate when it will be ready and I cannot comment if it will include the options you requested.

    Thanks! ??

    @edo888,

    Thanks for the update.

    Special Note:

    For the record, this topic is NOT RESOLVED.

    It is not fair for you to check all plugin inquiries as “RESOLVED” when, indeed, many are not.

    Adding your comment or update to an inquiry does not always solve the problem. You’re giving the community a false sense of security since many plugin users look at the “green check mark” hoping the topic is resolved.

    Again, thank you.

    If you think I have to do anything in particular, please feel free to reopen this topic.

    I’m marking it as resolved since I do not have any actions to do here.

    Thanks!

    @edo888,

    Respectfully, this topic is not resolved.

    When the ability to save custom flags and the new flags are added to your plugin, then this topic will be resolved.

    Recommend un-checking the green check mark until the above is completed (even if 10 years from now).

    Thank you.
