Links to PDFs in my Library suddenly not working

    Sometime in the past week or two, all links to .pdfs (each of which I have uploaded to my Library) have stopped working. When I click on one (from a web page OR from the View or Edit in its Library listing), it doesn’t open the uploaded .pdf file. Instead, it opens my Pictures directory on my laptop and searches for that document name there? I have many .pdfs on my site–and have for years. No idea why they have suddenly stopped working. I listed just one page above (scroll down to Free Activity Sheets to see thumbnails of the pdfs, which should link to the actual pdfs), but this is true across my site. Help, please?

    PS I just realized this is happening on Firefox, but not on Internet Explorer. I’m so confused.

    Your PDF links work as expected from my FF (firefox). Have you resolved this since you’ve posted here? If you’re still experiencing the problem, I think it’s due to your own FF’s configuration, probably a browser extension. Assuming you have not added extensions for incognito mode, try following PDF links from there. Or start FF in safe mode.

    To resolve your experience using your normal FF configuration, try changing what FF does with PDF files in General Preferences (under applications). Try having PDF files open directly in Acrobat Reader instead of FF.

    Thank you, @bcworkz! Your advice solved the problem. A day or so after posting here, I realized it was something in my own settings, but I still didn’t know how to fix it. Was going to spend time on it this weekend. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate your help and specific advice when this clearly wasn’t even a www.remarpro.com issue. I changed my FF configuration as you suggested, and everything is working properly now. Thank you SO much. Very much appreciate your kindness and time.
