• Just tried out Section Widget in hopes of having WordPress’ defaut recent posts widget only display on pages other than the homepage.

I installed the plugin. I clicked on the options and am only presented with “Theme”, “CSS Scope”, & “Height Fix” as options (I cannot find any of the options shown in the included screenshots). What I was to do wasn’t immediately apparent, so I so I clicked through to the Widgets administration page, that is when I noticed that the Section Widget plugin broke the Widget page. The bar on the right (which contains displayed widgets) has disappeared and I am unable to drag’n’drop anything, nor am I able to change “screen options” to disable drag’n’drop administration.

I understand Section Widget has not been tested on 2.9, but it is claimed to work for 2.8+.**. Any advice on what I am doing wrong or when I current version will be available.

The plugin sounds great; I hope to be able to use it soon.

    Thanks.

  • I just tried SW on wordpress 2.9 and it seems to work fine. You sure it’s not caused by something else? It sounds like you’re getting some JavaScript error. If you are using Firefox, can you install the firebug plugin (getfirebug.com) and see if there are any error messages in the error console?
