    Hi,

I built a site for my sons Cafe and in it I placed a Covid-19 Check In form, he is not wanting to be flooded constantly by the emails for it, so any emails will just sit in a folder on the server in case they ever need to be accessed for tracing purposes.

However, I have just noticed that every one of the emails sent from that form are showing up in my Gmail Sent folder ??? It is the email I have set as the admin email account.

I have WP Mail SMTP Lite also installed using the Gmail Mailer option and I’m not sure if that is the problem or not as the from address is the Gmail account I used to set that up which is different to the admin Gmail account.

The problem as I see it is I am receiving emails with peoples personal details in them that I shouldn’t have access to, not that I will ever use any of it.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to stop this happening ??

    Kindest Regards

    Bam Bam

  • Hello @bam-bam,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

It’s actually the default behavior. When you allow your Gmail account to send emails, all the emails from your website are sent on the behalf of your Gmail account, which means every email resides in the ‘Sent’ folder. Just like when you sent emails directly via the mailbox.

    Thanks!
