Variations not updating choices

    Hello,
    i am encountering an issue using variable products.
    Example: in my case I have a shoe with 3 attributes (material, color, size): not all combinations are available so we have:
    – Material: A (linked to color X and Y), B (linked to color Z and K)
    – Color: X, Y, Z, K
    – Size: every size is available for any combination

    While visiting the single product page, if i choose Material A, i will find Color options X and Y, and it’s fine. But then, after selecting the color -X or Y-, if I want to come back and select Material B to view other product choices, i don’t see that option in its own tab because i’ve previosuly selected Color X.
    I understand the process but i would like to be able to still see all options for first attribute (main) and then it affects the others cascading.
    Is there a way to improve it?

    Not that I am aware of.

    It works the way it does because, if I could select an invalid combination of variations, an error would occur when I tried to add it to my cart. So we purposefully alter the lists so that only compatible variations are shown.
