• I literally just created a new website yesterday. I was playing around with trying to figure out what theme I might want to use when everything crashed and I received a “fatal error notification.” I can’t login to my wordpress account at all. I tried following the tips to debug (heading into the cpanel). I found the file that is supposedly causing the error, but there’s no error listed in the file. I’m at a loss here. Not sure how to fix this. I have no content saved, since I didn’t even get to the part where I started writing content. If I have to completely wipe it or lose anything, I’m fine with that.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
