I’d like to put an “About” section on the home page sidebar (below the slider image).
How do I get the menu to link to the “About” section?
I tried using #About as the section ID on the widget. For the menu I used a custom link with the url https://jackiecraven.com/#About
    This did not work.

How do I get the “Read more” button to work? On the “About” widget, I set the button to redirect to https://jackiecraven.com/bio/. Instead, it redirected to my home page.

I didn’t want to leave the site not working, so I’ve replaced the “About” widget with a simple html text widget for now. But I would like to know how to set up an About section with a working menu link and read more button.

I’m using Chrome on a Mac and an iPhone.

I’ve deleted the TG About widget, but am trying the same steps with the TG Featured Posts widget. The menu links still do not work.

Here are the steps I followed:
    1) Appearance > Menus in the WordPress menu
    2) Clicked on Create a New Menu and named it “Menu”
    3) In Menu Settings selected “Primary menu” and “automatically add new”
    4) Added a “Custom Link” with this URL: https://jackiecraven.com/#inspirations. Named the navigation label and title attribute “Inspirations”
    5) Pressed Add Menu and Save Menu
    6) Appearance > Customize > Widgets. Added the TG Featured Post widget to the Front Page Sidebar.
    7) Post ID section: #inspirations
    8) Selected Color. Left Image blank.
    9) Filled in Title, Description, and Number of Posts
    10) Selected “show posts from a category.” Selected the Category “Inspirations”
    11) Filled in Button text and button redirect link: https://jackiecraven.com/category/inspirations/
    12) Clicked “Publish”

The blog posts display on the Front Page Sidebar correctly. But the “inspirations” link in the header does not work.

I’m using Chrome on a MAC with the newest version of the Himalayas theme.
