    Hi Team,

We are in need of a more robust plugin for woocommerce and are switching away from the webtoffee plugin. I am curious to know does your plugin support all of the payment methods that Stripe provides? How about money orders and/or gift cards?

Another separate question. Does your plugin enable us to provide discounts in the backend/change the order in the backend to reflect accurate shipping/products? We have a few products that are very small and do not take the full amount that we charge for shipping so we want to be able to change the price after authorization but before we capture the charge. Is this possible?

Thank you in advance for answering my questions!

I’m not quite sure what you mean by this. If you’re using WooCommerce and Stripe, Stripe *is* the payment method. If you use gift cards and/or coupons, Stripe will charge the total amount minus any gift card or coupon a customer has of course.

If you want gift cards specifically, checkout this extension:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/gift-cards/

You could probably automate something like this with Per Product Shipping:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/per-product-shipping/

… but again, that doesn’t have much to do with Stripe. Stripe will simply facilitate payment for whatever amount you charge, it doesn’t itself have much to do with shipping costs, etc.

Let me know if that helps or not! Thanks!

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for your reply! 1) I think that answers my question about payment methods.

    2) Right now we are using the webtoffee plugin which when we make changes in the backend to the product, price, or order it records them appropriately initially, but then ends up charging the whole amount disregarding any changes to stripe and thus the customer gets charged more than they should have. So I am really wondering if your plugin will record any changes we make to the products, prices, or orders (Especially on hold orders) on the backend and then communicate that to stripe? This way we can charge what we need to without overcharging the customer.

    Best,
    Jeff

The plugin will not record changes to the products and will process the amount of the product at the time the customer processes the order. You may want to contact webtoffee for additional compatibility or clarification.

    Hi @johndcoy

I was really wondering about this plugin and if it is able to charge customers accurately reflecting any changes that may have happened to an order after the customer submits it. Such as a single product order being cancelled in a multi-product order, shipping being adjusted, or products being added to the order over the phone.

It sounds like this plugin is unable to account for these changes and charges the customer for the original amount and disregards any changes made to the order. Is this correct?

Once the customer submits the order, the payment is paid for and can’t be reversed. The only option would be to refund the customer the difference.

    Hi @thup90,

Ah, That is what I was afraid of. Thank you for the information.

    Best,
    Jeff
