Cannot send with Microsoft 365

    We have moved our company email over to Microsoft 365 and now seem to be unable to use the WP Mail SMTP plugin to send email (keep getting the “Could not authenticate your SMTP account.” error).

    Is it possible to use WP Mail SMTP with Office 365 email, without having to upgrade to the ‘Pro’ version of the plugin?

    Thanks for reaching out. You can absolutely use Office 365 SMTP option without upgrading to the Pro version of the plugin. If you’re getting the authentication error, you probably need an App password in SMTP Password field instead of your regular account password. If this didn’t help, could you please share a full error log after sending the test email?
