• Two days ago, I clicked on the link on my blog that told me to upgrade to WordPress 2.9. I’ve been regreting it ever since!!! Now when I try to publish a new post or edit an existing one, html code (which I desparately try to avoid using!) keeps appearing and creating gaps and spaces I haven’t asked for. Even when I delete the offending code, it reappears when I alter something else and then click ‘update post’. My other problem is when I try and edit an image I’ve uploaded to my blog, such as reducing it in size to make it fit better, my original description text is removed when I haven’t even tried to edit it.

If anyone can help this technically challenged blogger I would be VERY grateful.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
