WordPress 2.9 won’t install

  • First it didn’t work the upgrade i got black screen after it completed.

    So i try to install fresh one and after you write the DB details i get blank screen.

    I don’t get any error. I’m installing the one from es.www.remarpro.com i’ll try with the english one.

  • Hey I’ve got the same problem, with the spanish version. I’m actually rolling back to 2.8.6

    I hope there is a fix for this “blank screen of death” ??

    This worked for me:
    1. Deactivated all plugins (except maintenance mode) and changed to default theme.
    2. I upgraded the old-fashioned and tried and tested way – FTP upload WordPress files and folders
    3. Must run the database upgrade script

    because a new table, commentmeta table, will be created in your database
