“Hacking” the links list?

Hi, I currently have two link categories; one of “people,” and another of “interests.” Some of the links from the people list have an * appended to it. I want to include a note at the bottom of the people list, to say “* indicates people I’ve met”. I do NOT want this at the bottom of the “interests” list, for obvious reasons. However, I have my blog set up to list the “people” list first, and then the “interest” list. So a note like that, if inserted into the index.php, would appear at the bottom of the whole thing. I don’t want that to happen.

Any suggestions on how to handle appending a note like that at the end of the “people” list?
