  • Hi @cedric75,

Sorry to hear about the canonical problem! We checked the example page and noticed that there are two canonical meta tags in the page source. One is from Yoast SEO, but we’re not sure why the other one appears.

Are you using any other SEO plugins or is there a setting in your theme causing the duplicate canonical tag?

To find out, we recommend doing a conflict check. We have a step-by-step guide here:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

Second canonical tag is the same one than in Yoast module. It has been added in header.php

My other sites have such repetition without any troubles. By the way, I had issue on Google serps before adding it.

Yes, I run Health Check & Troubleshooting, I do not see any difference with or without activated plugins.

    Hi,

Could you provide us with a screenshot of the specific notification you are getting from Google Search Console as to your homepage getting excluded?

Still, we would recommend that you only have a singular canonical tag for your posts and pages so as to avoid any conflict or errors, even if they are linking to the same canonical URL. Once you remove the duplicate canonical, please do try to validate and resubmit the URL to see if it isn’t excluded.

    Hi @cedric75 ,

We’re closing this thread because we haven’t heard back from you in a while. Should you have further questions, please open a new thread.
