I have 6 open badges set up on my BadgeOS instance and have issued several of those to myself (admin role). I have tried to find the baked image of the badge I issued in BadgeOS, but neither the image that was included in the badge award notification email nor the badge image on the evidence page validate as baked. When I try to validate those badge image, I get the following error:
Could not find Open Badges metadata in file.

I also noticed that when I click on the verify button on the evidence page or the achievement page :
Valid data format is ok, Badge is not revoked is ok, but shows undefined error.

I don’t know if the verifying has anything to do with the fact that I can’t find a baked image of the badge or that I don’t see a download button for the open badge under Earned Achievement in my user profile.

Thanks for your answer. Now the badge is validating. However, I still don’t see a download link in the Earned Achievement list in my user profile (on the admin user profile page).

In addition to the validation problems, there was a permission problem on the web server with the uploads/user_badges/ folder. The user_badges folder didn’t inherit the correct permissions from the upload folder when it was created by the plugin. Because it wasn’t writable the baked badge image couldn’t be saved by the BadgeOS plugin. I assume, because there was no badge image, the download link did not display in the user profile. Maybe the entire badge award process should have failed with an error if the baked image couldn’t be created? Just a suggestion. It could probably help others, if they need to troubleshoot.
