Google Search Console cannot see Analytics code inserted via Clearfy

  • I have setup Clearfy’s Google Analytics cache function. Google is now tracking the site, but I cannot verify the associated Search Console.

    I get this message:

    “Ownership verification failed”

    I have followed all instructions carefully, code is in the Head, all caches were purged, etc.

    The only way I could verify was by using other methods, namely adding the meta verification string.

    So am I correct in assuming the site cannot be verified by using Clearfy’s Google Analytics cache function alone?

    We need to figure it out. Try disabling this option in Clearfy and pass verification without it
