thumbnails for my posts on the livemesh “posts grid” get stretched. Ideally I’d like the posts titles to all be aligned, as on the example website here:

    https://livemeshelementor.com/posts-grid/

even if my featured images have different resolutions. Any way to accomplish this?

Currently, in the settings I see “image size”. I have it set to 300 x 300, but non square images will have the width set to 300, while the height is something less to maintain aspect ratio. This throws off the alignment. Further, images that are smaller than 300 x 300 will always be stretched. Instead, I’d like to have padding around the smaller iamges.

For titles to align, the height of the images has to be the same for all images.

You achieve that using custom size. However, for custom size to work, the images have to be of height AND width greater than the custom size specified. Without this, at present, Elementor does not have a way to crop the images.

You can use a tool like Photoshop to stretch the images to a bigger height/width so that you can achieve the square thumbnail. There is no other way, unfortunately.

Thanks for the followup and the great plugin. I’ll follow that approach!
