• I have been able to create and upload new themes many, many times, but suddenly today, I upload one and it doesn’t show up in my Available Themes.

In an effort to isolate the problem, I deleted a different theme folder from my server, and that one doesn’t disappear from my Available Themes.

There seems to be a lack of synchronization between what’s actually on my server and what’s getting pulled in by WordPress.

I have tried it in Firefox and IE. I’ve tried clearing my cache and cookies… need to go live on Thursday with the new theme – please help :/

    Thank you,
    Trevan

  • That would imply you’re not actually deleting and adding the themes. Are you sure you’re not accidentally adding it to a different WP installation or some other kind of error?

How did you solved this problem? WordPress is very good finding the themes, even if they’re inside a subfolder (for example, moving the “classic” and “default” folders to a “new_subfolder”, wordpress finds them). I was working on my theme today, everything was fine and without any error message or nothing, my theme disappeared from the templates list. And I’m not able to find what went wrong. The files are there, but they simple won’t show up. I even deactivated all the plug-ins installed and re-installed wordpress 2.9.2 and nothing.
