• Resolved presscode

    Hi again ??

    Just noticed a small red border around the “email” field when it’s set to “required”. Actually the asterix right to the label is sufficient and the red border disturbing the design and UX rather than helping in my case.

    Plus I have noticed that both fields for “Name” and “Email” have different sizes, so the layout is not consistent anymore.

    You find the screenshot here:

    By the way, this is actually the site, where I’d love to put the 2 fields and the button in one row with 3 columns instead of 3 rows ??

    Any chance to fix this soon?

    Thank you and kind regards,
    Sascha

  • Hi @saschinger

    Basically that is the default behavior of the required indicator in HTML forms. We also do not add any styles to the form yet, like all other core Gutenberg blocks this also depends on your theme to handle the form styles. So depending on the theme you may get differently styled forms on the front-end. To test this you can try to switch your theme and see how it looks.

    We might add some form styles if that would be needed by users. You may post its to the features collection board here.

    Replied to your other ticket about the inline form.

    Actually it’s pretty annoying, that the fields (names & email) do not have the same width. Any chance to fix this?

    @saschinger

    Like I said that depends on the theme. But, I will look into this width issue, couldn’t able to replicate this though.

    Can you confirm which theme you are using?
