Yoast plugin disable reply link on blog replies

1. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v14.4.1? If you update, does the issue resolve?

2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

3. If you add this filter: https://gist.github.com/amboutwe/88f5daa9fbac090e2b6f0c5ff61e3bbb into your functions.php of your site does the issue resolve? If you are not sure how to add it, your theme developer can help. We also recommend taking a backup prior to editing files on your site. Your host provider can help with that.

Thanks for the reply. We are using the the most recent Yoast SEO Version 14.4.1.

And yes all other plugins are also updated.

Thanks for confirming that using the filter has corrected it. We’ve also released version 14.5 of the plugin as well, so would recommend checking whether the issue occurs in the most current release oft the plugin as well.

Hi, I can’t reply to comments as well. When I’m clicking reply text. It’s switching to the next comment. I don’t know what’s the issue.

UPDATE: I tried it after deactivating Yoast SEO plugin. still, It doesn’t work. Instead, the page is reloading.

The issue still occurs in the version 14.5.

Just to clarify, the issue was occurring on v14.4.1 of Yoast SEO WordPress, but was resolved when you used the stated filter?

And when you updated toe v14.5, the issue reoccurred? Could you please check if the filter code is still in your files?

I’ve installed a manual comment plugin. Now, it’s working well without issues.

Besides, Yea my Yoast plugin is in the updated version ( 14.5)

If anyone is still trying to fix this glitch. I suggest you to install manual comment section plugin called “wpdiscuz”. It has better-advanced features than default one.

It is working perfectly.

With the filter the latest version (v14.5) there is no issue. Without the filter the issue is there.

I thought I was supposed to test the latest version without the added filter in the functions.php.

Since the 7.0 release of the plugin, we have removed the option in the plugin interface to turn off the replytocomvariable, and instead disable this automatically with a filter ( wpseo_remove_reply_to_com ).
