    Hi

I activated the album plugin and would like to now if – and if yes how – I can display albums in an album.

    In detail:

I want to show on my website a page that shows albums like “Pics 2017” “Pics 2018” “Pics 2019” and so on. Now, when I e.g. click the “Pics 2017” album I want to see another page showing albums like “January 2017″ February 2017” and so on.

Well, I think the principle is pretty clear. Is something like this possible?

Looking forward to your answer and thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards, BJ

    Hi BJ,

Nested albums/galleries is not possible without a bit of work ??

I have setup nested galleries before using the Custom Link function.

You can set the custom URL for a thumb and then set the Link To setting to be the custom Link.

So you set then custom URL of certain thumbs to another page which has a gallery. Other thumbs in the gallery might point to other pages, or they might point to the fullsize images as per usual.

    I hope that makes sense?

    Hi bradvin

I think I understand how to do this. Thank you very much!

But there is one more question.

I have now created a “starting-page” with only one picture (e.g. for the “Pics 2017”) that links to a gallery which shows the other albums on one (sub)page (e.g. the January, February, etc. pages).

Now, if I click on the album it opens the gallery and shows the pictures in the gallery. Fine, too. BUT … the headline information shown above the pictures (i.e. the gallery’s title) is also taken from the gallery. And in addition it shows the album title. Is it possible that the headline is shown from the page where the gallery is embedded?

    Have a look here:

This is the gallery with the headline information from the gallery title:
    https://www.rockin-wildcat.com/rwc/galerie/gallery/10557#pics-2017

This is what the gallery looks like on the page:
    https://www.rockin-wildcat.com/rwc/ddbw-thee-flanders

I think the design of the “page-headline” is much nicer. Is there a way to use the page as the target of the gallery link?
