• Since a few days I have been getting numerous amounts of out of memory errors, while uploading images (of 3mb), while accessing the Media, Posts, wp-admin and plugins pages. When I refresh the error is gone. My site uses about 10-12mb memory, so I don’t see what the problem is, I only use the following plugins:
    – Content-Aware Sidebars
    – Really Simple SSL
    – Robo Gallery
    – UsageDD
    – WP Recipe Maker
    I use the OceanWP theme.

Any ideas? I have already manually upped the memory limit in the wp-config file.

  • You might be running into limits of your hosting account. What kind of hosting plan do you have?

Also, 3 MB images are pretty big. Can you trim them down?

There a sitting in the php.ini file that sets the upload limit(upload_max_filesize). If you can access your .ini file you can bump the value up. If not you can ask your provider to increase it.

Thanks for your responses, the photos I made were just from my iPhone, but probably gonna have to compress them a bit yes. Unfortunately I can not access my php.ini file, hosting does not allow that. They’re called strato. Their FAQ states that the max_upload_size is 64 MB, so that does not really explain my troubles.

IMO you probably should consider finding another host. 64MB is rather limiting.
