adsense where banner goes

i’d like to put an adsense type banner where you put the advertising banner…but when i use adsense they dont seem to specify sizes and they make massive banner which cover virtually the whole screen and look really ugly….i’d like the 468×60 kind of rectangle similar to your banner.
