New extension idea

  • Hello Tobias,

    It would be nice if there was an extension to make telephone numbers clickable on mobile devices by adding <a href="tel:999-999-9999">, etc code.

    My thought is to add this functionality to the Automatic URL conversion plugin and make it a premium plugin or as a standalone premium plugin.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    I see what you mean, but unfortunately, this is not really that easy to achieve, due to the various phone number formats that exist throughout the world.

    Also, it might not even be necessary as I’ve seen that mobiles can recognize and convert phone numbers on websites automatically by themselves! (It might however be turned off by a setting e.g. in the phone’s browser app.)
