• I’m wondering whether there’s any way in WP to work with a custom, manually coded theme design in the classic editor ?

Sure. Did you install the Classic Editor plugin?

In the long run, I recommend against the classic editor as the WP ecosystem is increasingly block oriented.

sorry I thought ‘classic editor’ == ‘block editor’ on WP.

I’m just using the basic (non-Gutenberg) editor that comes with WP.

How do i go about editing a custom theme with the block editor ?

You just use it. Do you want to create custom blocks?

What do you mean by “editing a custom theme”? Are you asking how to create content or how to create a theme?

WPs native editor is the block/Gutenberg editor. The only way you get the “classic editor” is to install the plugin from the WP repository.

Ah, I see.. Sorry for the ignorance ??

So I want to use the block/Gutenberg editor to edit content and blocks in my custom coded theme.
