Adding an ‘artist’ field to my products and having it show under it’s title

    Hey there,

    On the site I am currently building we are selling music os downloadable products.

    I was hoping to add an ‘artist’ custom field and have that show underneath the product on both the single product page and on the shop page – is this possible?

  • Hi James! Yes, this is possible. The easiest way to do it would be to use a custom product attribute for this.

    As far as showing it on the single product page and shop page, it will show on the single product page without you having to do anything. To show it on the shop page, you would need a customization of some sort. The customization would involve modifying the shop template, which you can read more about that here.

    That’s great, thanks Austin. I had meant to look into editing the templates in a update-safe way so that’s helped me out ??
