Passing UTM info along with CF7 to Webhook

Hi.

To get the fields from GET (URL) you can use CF7 Special tags:
[hidden utm_source default:get]

But I guess Easy UTM tracking with contact form 7 save the data on browser after receive on GET (URL) right?

Can you provide a link to your website so I can see how the form is sent?

The form in question is near the top-right, form 6940.

The other plugin, Advanced UTM Tracking for Contact Form 7, adds the UTM codes to emails sent but I’m not seeing any way to add that info to CF7 to Webhook.

If there is a better way to achieve this without the other plugin, I am open to other solutions.

The tag I posted is the CF7 way to do, but works only if parameters are still in URL.

The plugin you are using is better as it works saving the data when user navigates.

I’ll check here if there’s a way to add Advanced UTM’s data to my plugin workflow.

He is adding data from cookies.

So.. here is a simple plugin to work with both plugins and add cookie data:

I didn’t test it, so please make a backup before installing it and let me know if all is OK or I should make some adjust.

You just have to download and put in plugin’s folder (or zip inside a folder and install from dashboard).

Or you can copy the code after comments (line 11) to your functions.php.

I have the following info in the Special Mail Tags field:
[_url]
[hidden utm_source default:get]
[hidden utm_medium default:get]
[hidden utm_term default:get]
[hidden utm_campaign default:get]
[hidden utm_content default:get]

I guess we should remove the “hidden” fields.

To be clear:

1 – Remove the special tags:

[_url]
[hidden utm_source default:get]
[hidden utm_medium default:get]
[hidden utm_term default:get]
[hidden utm_campaign default:get]
[hidden utm_content default:get]

2 – Install and activate the plugin I linked.

It should work.

The plugin I created “CF7 to Webhook – Add Cookies” will add UTM data to contact form data sent to Webhook.

If you use the special mail tags with same ID perhaps will override.

I have removed the hidden. Still no UTM going to Zapier.

I’m seeing the utm_source value being sent on cookies, but I used the new version of Easy UTM to create “CF7 to Webhook – Add Cookies” and it uses another cookie.

Yes. However, I am using v 2.1.0 of CF7 to Webhook. Our website must stay at an older version of PHP for now. Is that a problem?

I’m not sure. I guess it should works even on 2.1.0

Is it the plugin you have?
Version is 2.0.4?
