    Hi!

We have a multilanguage website using Polylang. The main language version is on the tld level and the other are in subfolders, /en/, /de/.
I want to use hreflang in the Yoast sitemap to inform Google of this. Is that possible with Yoast? I read a great article on Yoast.com about this but there was no mention of using Yoast as a solution.

    regards,
    Jesper

  • Hi @jhultqvist,

    Thank you for reaching out.

There is no need to actually define the hreflang tags in the sitemaps as your multilingual plugin already output the hreflang tags on the post/pages themselves. Hope this explains.
