    Most likely its coming from one of the templates of your active theme.

    Find which file is throwing it and fix it.

    Alternately, try replacing theme files from a fresh download of your theme.

    You entered a google site verification code with an extra " />

    Fix the code then it will disappear

    @gperch I am not sure that will fix this. It looks like what you are saying is a problem for sure, but that closing tag appears to be in the code.

    Also there are other issues. Notice that there are two instances of the site-verification tag and apart from it being messy, there is a double quote in the second.

    content="<meta name=" google-site-verification"="">

    @123host this is the current code

    <meta name="description" content=" <meta name=&quot;google-site-verification&quot; content=&quot;<meta name=&quot;google-site-verification&quot; content=&quot;OAoFK-jlO0hQnQLFnn2xWcXTFP5xFi3HA_2ed_7ZhKM&quot; />">

    is should read as follows

    <meta name=&quot;google-site-verification&quot; content=&quot;OAoFK-jlO0hQnQLFnn2xWcXTFP5xFi3HA_2ed_7ZhKM">

    @victoriagj just copied and pasted the wrong info in.

    Please redo these steps: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/add-website-google-search-console/

    @gperch does it take time to disappear? I deleted it directly from the Meta Tag manager (deleted everything since I can’t edit it) and also I deleted it from Yoast and it still appears on my website.

    Also thank you for your reply!!
