Looking for product plugin/template

Hi,

I’m looking for a plugin that facilitates uploading of multiple product images, with a main image, and thumbnails of smaller images which can be clicked to change the main image.

I’m also looking at developing such a plugin if none exists, and would like to know if the ability to either hook into the image uploading feature exists, or if it would be possible to tag images in such a way that you could build a gallery display template.
