reduce the max execution time for demo install

    Hey there. I just installed WordPress and the theme “flash”. I wanted to install the demo of “default”, but it failed already several times “Demo Import process failed”. https://docs.themegrill.com/knowledgebase/demo-import-process-failed/

    I asked my server support about the features:
    max_execution_time 360
    memory_limit 256M
    post_max_size 32M
    upload_max_filesize 32M

    and they said:
    You might want to check with this with the theme developer if they have ways to at least reduce the max execution time.
    the rest of the features are possible it is just the max execution time that is not possible to have more than 50 seconds.

    Can you please let me know another way to install the theme demo?

  • Hi @jennykieshauer,

    The ThemeGrill Demo Importer plugin is the only option for demo import and for max_execution_time 50s is not enough as the scripts for importing demo and downloading the content takes time.
